Well that was actually rather triffic. Lots of toe tapping tunes and none of the awful dirges that 'folk' can sometimes include

First time I'd heard Pennyless and they were very good - a nice mix of styles and their set ended far too quickly. Bought copies of both of their CDs.
Paspatou were also very entertaining with Graham Dale (also in Pennyless) continuing to produce various wind based instruments from his seemingly endless collection and Jay (guitars and percussion) demonstrating impressive multi-tasking skills with, at several points, every limb playing a different rhythm.
It was a curiously low turnout for the village although I heard a rumour that the Post Office had run out of tickets so perhaps folk thought it had sold out.
I hope they repeat the event - I'd certainly be back.
