People of King's Cliffe and beyond! Friday, August 4th is your last chance
to come to a house-concert at The Wheatsheaf.

Jez Hellard & The Djukella Orchestra play a smorgasbord of acoustic music,
from jigs, reels and ballads to tango, rhumba and even reggae. Featuring
one of the most captivating double-bassists you're likely to hear and some
of the finest instrumentalists on the UK folk scene, their blend of
virtuoso musicianship, witty banter and a deep repertoire of powerful songs
never fails to turn heads.

Since hitting the road full time in 2005, Jez has played well over a
thousand gigs; from the Glastonbury Festival to the North Country Fair, New
York to Taipei. He grew up in King's Cliffe and over the past few years has
been holding occasional house-concerts at The Wheatsheaf whenever the right
musicians are passing through. This is the last one. If you've been before,
you know it's a magical way to experience top notch acoustic music, if not,
come now, or forever hold your peace.

*“Ridiculously enjoyable… an unequivocal thumbs up.” **Folk Radio UK*

*“Unclassifiable their music may be, but excellent it most certainly is.”  *
