Walkers have complained about the closure of the footpath beside the watermill due to the installation of the new footbridge. The concrete plinths of the former bridge were becoming undermined by the Willowbrook making it increasingly unsafe. The current works were expected having been planned earlier but as the Parish Council were not given the work dates they were unable to warn residents about the footpath closure. Happily the works are nearly complete and we shall soon enjoy improved access to and from Morehay Lane via the mill. NCC have done the village proud recently with improvements along many of our surrounding public Rights of Way footpaths.
