Dead trees on the green oak lane
« Posted: 25 Aug 2015, 19:12:28 »
Has anyone chased up the company / builders about all the dead trees on the green off oak lane?

I watched the contractors putting them in with a digger and about half of them are dead.

I am sure somewhere along the way we have all paid for these and I think they should replace them and at least put them in upright instead of lots of them leaning to one side.

That area's the responsibility of Persimmon. AFAIR, the planning permission required that the planting should be maintained by them for a number of years (5?) and any dead ones should be replaced.

Contact Planning Enforcement at East Northants Council (01832 742225 planning@east-northamptonshire.gov.uk).

I'll bring it up at the next PC meeting so we can also report it but it's probably a case of the more the merrier so please do contact them.

Suspect drought:  weather may help:  don't burn them yet.
