Gigaclear / John Henry digging again

Crossing the entrance to the Doctor's surgery at Wansford, and presumably the pipeline to fill in the missing link of 5 metres.

Traffic lights in use.

Gosh! Something has gone to plan (I was told last week that this link should be dug today but with all the other setbacks I didn't want to put too much hope in it actually happening!).

Providing no faults are found on the fibre twixt there and Yarwell or the main connection by the Ex-Little Chef in Wansford then the link all the way to Kings Cliffe should be in place tomorrow when Boxcom are scheduled to be joining the ends of that bit of fibre to the existing stuff.

The network bods can then start programming the stuff in the cabinets and then <drumroll> connect up some subscribers! (due to happen next week for the first ones but see the caveat in para one above).

Interestingly just noticed that BT Infinity is now available to order in Wansford. Maybe that will help gee them up a little bit?

'Yippee' is a better word than 'Ahem", Russell. Great news; we can hear your huge sigh of relief from this side of the village!! Compare your readings to the 1.7mb/s download crawl we recorded yesterday lunchtime and the 0.1 upload speed on the Uswitch site; there are light-years of difference.  I know Gigaclear has said they will get us all connected by November 1 but when will we actually see John Henry digging up the pavement in West Street again? The rest of Kings Cliffe wants to join in the fun too and download Windows 10 in less than 16 hours.
