Women’s cycling Tour COMING THROUGH KINGS CLIFFE
« Posted: 04 Mar 2015, 09:52:46 »
The morning of Friday 19 June will see the riders and their massive entourage return to Oundle where the start of the third day’s racing will commence in The Market Place. The riders will set off from Oundle cycling through Kings Cliffe heading towards Kettering, the end destination of the third stage. Attached are a  couple of video's from last years event.

According to my diary, that will be the 70th birthday a well known Parish Councillor - expected that is why it has been planned that way  ;)

Do you think that, if we asked nicely, they'd stop and sing 'Happy Birthday'?

or give him the bumps!  >:D

Re:  June 19th/Tour de Cliffe, which may seem a long way away...but:
We are being 'fibred'. Resultant trenches are being filled and tarmac'd efficiently by Gigaclear's "civils" people.
There are a number of potholes. (NOT the fault of Gc) large enough to wreck competition riders, male or female.
It may be that ENC (or whoever) is planning to do drastic mendings only after the Gc work is completely finished;  or it may be that June 19th will be the spur because not only the shame but the resultant damage/insurance lawsuits would be very expensive...

May I suggest that meantime it would be welcome, and probably cost effective because the tarmac team is on site, if the PC could arrange with the  roads authority for Gc's contractor to fill the potholes ?
